‘We all eat and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly’! We agree.  That’s why the Buccleuch and Queensberry Arms utilises local produce, skilled chefs and a passion great tasting, quality food to deliver unique and flavourful dishes.  Read more about the food and wine at BQA here.

5. Take in some culture.

Dumfries and Galloway is home to some of the most picturesque estates and beautiful stately homes in Britain.  The Queensberry estate is home to Drumlanrig Castle.  Drumlanrig offers something for everyone but we highly recommend the guided castle tour.  The castle dubbed ‘The Pink Palace’ due to the unique red sandstone hew, is not only magnificent outside but inside features grand rooms, period features and a discerning collection of art and tapestry.  If you’re lucky enough to visit on a sunny day BQA can offer an afternoon tea picnic to take with you, perfect for enjoying whilst admiring the views over Nith Valley.
