The start of the shoot season has begun, Autumn means delicious new menu changes and The BQA has a new venture ready to take the food world of Dumfries and Galloway by storm.
The shooting season is now in full swing! Drumlanrig Castle is one of the world’s premier shooting locations and we can completely understand why. Guests of our luxury hotel Scotland travel the breadth of the country for the opportunity to explore the varied terrain of the castle grounds. With 20 partridge drives, 25 pheasant drives and 25000 acres of heather moorland on offer for an exhilarating and diverse day of shooting Drumlanrig seems second to none! The change of season brings with it some new menu changes. These include delicious dishes centred around game such as wood pigeon and venison and desserts using fruit such as blackberries and pears. The BQA have also started serving coffee flavoured with your choice of syrup! Pumpkin Spice, caramel, vanilla and hazelnut are the current syrups available to sweeten up a Monday morning.
