Served with a vanilla shortbread, this classic is back on our menu! Caramelised sugar on top of a rich custard base is a perfectly sweet option to finish off dinner for the evening. The Creme Brulee is accompanied by a homemade vanilla shortbread. This is one of our favourites!
The chocolate lover’s dream! Another favourite is back for you to enjoy. This baked chocolate dessert with a melting molten middle will definitely satisfy all of your chocolate cravings! This dessert is everything a chocolate lover could wish for, served with a cherry compote and vanilla ice cream. You can never go wrong with chocolate, that’s what we say anyway!
Scottish Strawberry Tart
Yep that’s right guys! Wimbledon is finally here! So that can only mean one thing… The winning combination of Pimms and strawberries and cream! Our Dessert of the Week this week is our take on the classic Strawberry Cream Tart, using only the finest Scottish strawberries. As a seasonal restaurant in Dumfries and Galloway, we try to source our ingredients from local areas to help support the welfare of the environment. The Scottish Strawberry Tart is the perfect after dinner dessert, and why not try our Wimbledon cocktail alongside it?
Elderflower and Gooseberry Baked Alaska
Our Specials menu offers you the chance to experiment with new and exciting flavour combinations you might not have previously considered. Taking into account ingredients that are in season at the time, the Specials give our chefs the chance to prepare something a little bit different. Like, for example, with the Elderflower and Gooseberry Baked Alaska. This dessert is comprised of a sponge base, topped with an Elderflower and Gooseberry parfait all covered in tasty Italian meringue and served with a gooseberry compote. Yum! Definitely one to try.
Cremeux is french for ‘creamy’. So this chocolate dessert has a creamy custard-like texture served with crunchy chocolate soil, kumquats poached in sugar syrup as well as peanut brittle. Certainly another one for the chocolate lovers!
This simple but delicious traditional cheesecake is a hard one to beat. Understated, traditional cheesecake served with a cherry compote, and accompanied by a brandy and mint cream.
The desserts section is definitely looking extremely tasty this month! But which one would be your choice? Have you found a new favourite dessert? Why not try them all! Check out our menu to see what other tasty options we have available at the moment for dinner!
