Dumfries and Galloway Science Festival 28th April
Focused on making science fun and accessible, this free family event can be enjoyed by all ages. With a range of interactive workshops, drop-in events and shows, the 2017 Science Festival is bound to have Dumfries and Galloway buzzing this month!
Make sure to pop into Loreburn Shopping Centre from 2pm on Friday 28th April for The Science Circus. This exciting display of ‘magical’ tricks and demos is guaranteed to astound and amaze!
Live Theatre Broadcast at The Fullarton Theatre 20th April @ 7pm
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (12A)
Broadcast live from the Old Vic Theatre in London. This hilarious stage play follows two of Shakespeare’s minor characters from Hamlet as the comedy duo haphazardly negotiate their version of events. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Joshua McGuire and David Haig, this new twist on an old tale is suitable for adults and older teenagers. Get your tickets from The Fullarton Theatre, Castle Douglas.

2 Day Dry Stone Dyking Course 22nd – 23rd April
Ever fancied yourself as a modern day Hadrian? Learn how to build your own dry stone wall under expert instruction with this two-day beginner’s course run by the Dry Stone Waller’s Association. The event takes place at Loch Arthur and you can find out more here.
The Spring Fling 27-29th May
Dumfries and Galloway’s signature arts festival is back! Widely regarded as Scotland’s premier visual arts and crafts open studio event, each year more than 90 artists and expert craftspeople showcase their work at The Spring Fling. This interactive event offers visitors a unique opportunity to peak behind the scenes as artists and craftspeople demonstrate their techniques and explain their creative process.
